🚸 NOW HIRING CROSSING GUARDS! 🚸
What if a couple hours of your day could make a real difference? This might be the part-time opportunity you didn't know you were looking for.
Cicero District 99 is currently looking for Crossing Guards who are 18 years of age or older.
📍 Apply at the Town of Cicero Human Resources Department (4949 W. Cermak Road). 2nd Floor. Ask to speak with Jacob Mijares.
Do you work from home and have some flexibility in your schedule? Are you retired but would still like to get out, stay active, and do something meaningful? Would some additional part-time income be helpful?
Then we would love for you to join the team! Being a crossing guard is about being there during some of the most important minutes of a child's day.
Every morning, children in our community leave their homes carrying backpacks, lunchboxes, homework — and their parent's trust that they will make it safely to school. Every afternoon, they make that trip home again. Crossing Guards are the people standing between those children and busy traffic.
You become a familiar face. A wave in the morning. A smile after school. Someone children recognize. Someone parents appreciate. Someone our schools depend on. And while you may only see it as a couple hours out of your day, to the families whose children you help cross safely, those hours matter enormously.
👉 Please share this post. Even if the position isn't right for you, someone on your friends list may be exactly the person our students need standing at the intersection!
A few hours. A little extra income. A familiar face. A safter trip to school. Come help us get our kids safely across!
